Photo tour led by Etienne Bossot

From the overcrowded streets of Dhaka to the tea plantations of Sylhet, and the sumptuous coastline of Chittagong, Bangladesh really is a fascinating land. The Bengali people are the most welcoming population you can ever encounter and they will make us feel at ease for our photography. This photography tour is very much dedicated to the people of Bangladesh, and participants can expect to focus mostly on portraits and street photography.

Please note that Etienne's tours to Bangladesh in 2014 and 2015 were fully booked, so do not wait too long before deciding.

Companions

Of course you can bring your companion with you! With our local partners we have created a number of interesting and rewarding activities for them to fully enjoy the time too.

Weather

This is the wet season so it does rain from time to time. In the plains it is hot as always, but up high, as we will be, it is very cold at night, even close to freezing, so bring a mix of clothes.

Difficulty

Energetic but not mountain climbing. You do have to be in reasonable health, capable of one hour hikes up hills. Do bring good walking shoes.

Brief Itinerary

For Etienne, experience is key. When he takes people on tour, they not only travel and discover new things together but he engages them in their craft. All of those on Etienne’s tours become fully immersed in the landscape of their lens. Workshopping is continual and intimate with lots of one-on-one time. All of these elements help make his tours among the best in the world. Because it all comes down to passion.

Developing your photo skills is an absolute must on my tours. For every tour Etienne selects relevant topic areas to workshop through and also design specific workshops for people while on tour. Most of the tour is aimed at developing composition and storytelling skills. We focus on different topics and apply them to daily situations. All tours include at least two photo critiquing sessions as well as workshops. This not only gives each person invaluable insight into their work but also enhances the group bonding experience. So you are guaranteed to go home a better photographer than before – plus you will have had an amazing travel experience!
